Frequently Asked Questions
How do you calculate the best outdoor time?
We score each hour on four factors: temperature comfort (ideal around 70°F), low precipitation chance, moderate wind speed (under 15 mph), and daylight. The best 2-3 hour window with the highest combined score is recommended.
What makes a good outdoor window?
An ideal outdoor window has temperatures between 55-80°F, precipitation probability below 20%, wind under 15 mph, and occurs during daylight hours. Scores above 70/100 are excellent for outdoor activities.
What if the whole day is bad for being outside?
On days with poor outdoor conditions throughout, we'll show you the single best hour and note that indoor alternatives may be preferable. Even on bad days, there's usually a brief window that's better than the rest.
